Gremio Overpowers Plymouth

Paul scored 2 goals
Gremio got back to the winning column after a short 2-game slide. After dropping two close games, Gremio defeated Plymouth 5-3 to improve to 4-2-0 in the season.
The tricolor had the return of forward Paul and Alex played his second consecutive game. Paul opened up the score and, shortly after, Pete made it 2-0. But Plymouth responded with 2 quick goals tying the game at 2. Mauricio made it 3-2 and Rick put Gremio ahead for good with his second goal in as many games. Plymouth scored again but Paul and Pete netted their second goal of the game to put final numbers, Gremio wins 6-3.

ACN United Blanks Gremio Coed

Gremio Coed was shutdown by ACN United, losing a close battle by the score of 2-0. The tricolor struggled to generate offense and could not capitalize in the few scoring opportunities. Mauricio missed three free kicks from the top of the box and Karin couldn't pull the trigger to finish off a great individual play. Defense was outstanding and kept the tricolor in the game due to solid efforts by Josh, Chris Cash, Kevin, Brian and GK Jesse.

Help From Sweden

Emma scored in her first game for Gremio

Gremio Coed defeated Platinum Balls 6-3 on a very special night. Short on female players, Gremio Coed called up Emma, Karin’s younger sister, and the Swedish help did not disappoint anyone. Emma capped a stellar performance with a goal late in the game. Gremio conceded an early goal by two quick strikes from Mauricio had the tricolor up 2-1. Berg scored twice and Kevin also found the back of the net, before Emma put final numbers in the game, Gremio wins by the final score of 6-3 and Emma was named the “player of the game”, as one of the few players to score in their first game for Gremio.

Tough Battle

Gremio was against all odds but was still able to put up a nice showing. Playing its second game in 3 nights, missing forward Paul, midfielder Kevin, and GK Chris Berg, the tricolor battled but ended up losing to WCU by the score of 5-3. WCU jumped into an early lead, scoring 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. Gremio, however, survived the blitz and got back in the game.
Pete sent a beautiful pass to Mauricio who tapped it in for the first goals. Minutes later, Mauricio ripped a left foot shot past the GK and Rick tied the game at 3 moments later. Newcomer Alex had a solid game on defense, and GK Brian was outstanding between the pipes, but the tired tricolor squad gave up 2 goals and could not come back.
