Sory Scores, Gremio Kills Chupacabras

It was a game of firsts. Gremio beat Chupacabras 7-5 in a night of many unusual events. Sory scored a goal, his first of the season and first in over a year, his last tally was in 09 winter 1 session.
Brian also had his first goal of the season. Back in the lineup, Rick had his first start in goal and got his first W as a GK. John had his first career hat-trick for Gremio and, finally, Karin and Mauricio had three assists each, for both players probably the first time with 3 assists in a game.
The tricolor came inspired on Sory’s early message, “there is only one option tonight "WIN". If you like yourself, get out of my way tonight” he said. John led the way with three goals, but Sory, Brian, Kevin and Steve also scored on the 7-5 win.
Gremio improved to 18 points (6-1-0) and will now conclude the regular season next Wednesday, Jan 19, vs. Poundin Mitts at 10:30.

Gremio Wins 3-2, Again

Another win, another 3-2 score. Gremio reached 14 points (4-1-2) after defeating Youse Guys last night by the score of 3-2. It was Gremio forth win of the season, the third one by the familiar score of 3-2, extending the tricolor's unbeaten streak to six games.
Gremio did not have the services of starting GK Chris Berg but call-up Brian was solid between the pipes. Pete got Gremio on the board scoring is third goal in the last two games. Paul made it 2-0 before Mauricio finished off a great pass by Garrett for a 3-0 lead. However, the tricolor made it interesting allowing two late goals but it was able to hold off the late comeback for its third consecutive win.

Scrappy Win

An ugly win is still a win. Gremio beat Tango 3-2 playing some scrappy soccer. The win extended Gremio's unbeaten streak to 5 games as the tricolor continues to move up in the standings, now with 11 points (3-1-2). Garrett and Pete scored goals early in the game to put Gremio up 2-0. Then, the scrappy Tango scored two goals to tie the match. But when things started to "get out of hand", Pete scored the game winner put ting final numbers, 3-2. The tricolor had the return of defender Sory AKA Yeah Baby Not In My House.
Up next, Gremio will face Youse Guys on Monday at 10:30pm.

Gremio Coed Winning Streak Snapped

Gremio Coed lost the first game of the season to ACN United by the score of 4-3. Missing several players, Rick, Dave, Melissa, and Brian, the depleted tricolor squad could not keep the perfect season falling to 5-1-0.
Josh was the player of the game with 2 goals. Mauricio scored the other goal assisted by Karin.
Gremio Coed will try to get back to its winning ways when it faces Chupacabras next Wednesday at 9pm.

Gremio Coed Remains Perfect

Gremio Coed continues its perfect season after defeating old time rivals El Zanjon by the score of 3-2. Gremio improved to 5-0-0 and stayed on top of the standings with 15 points.
The tricolor had a quality boost with Karin Swedish Eriksson returning to the line up. Despite playing in a different timezone, the Swede finished the game with an assist on the third goal.
Mauricio put Gremio on the board scoring off a El Zanjon's turnover. Kevin made it 2-0 off a feed from Melissa, and Mauricio scored the eventual game winner to make it 3-0. A couple of late goals weren't enough for El Zanjon, losing to Gremio for the 7th time in the last 8 tries.
