Red Sweep

Gremio Coed players
Gremio defeated Red Devils and Gremio Coed completed the "Red Sweep" with a 6-4 over the Red Cards.
Red Cards was the last undefeated team in the coed league this season. That was prior playing Gremio Coed, as the sore losers walked away with a 6-4 loss to the tricolor.
Gremio got on the board when "dirty player fat defender" knocked a shot from Arsene in his own net, 1-0. Kevin made it 2-0 before a couple of doubtful “non-calls” allowed Red Cards to score two goals.
Not a problem for Gremio, as Josh made it 3-2, followed by a couple goals from Jack (one beauty from half field) and another one by Arsene. Sory showed some boxing skills as the frustrated Red Card players started to show NO class late in the game.
Longtime player Brandi played her last game in a Gremio uniform as she moves to NY.
We will miss Brandi and wish her best of luck in the Big Apple.
Gremio improved to 4-2-0 and will be back in action next Wednesday Jun1 when the tricolor will take on Average Joes at 8:06pm.

Gremio Trounces Red Devils

Gremio wasted no time to get back on the winning track, as the tricolor beat Red Devils 4-1, improving to 6-1-0 this season, and moving into solo possession of 2nd place in the standings.
Gremio scored early when Pete made it 1-0. Paul finished a nice give-and-go play with Mauricio for a 2-0 lead. Red Devils cut the lead in half but Paul sealed the win with two more goals for his first hat trick of the season.
Up next, Gremio will play FC Force on Tuesday 5/31 at 7:24pm.

Gremio Coed Back to Winning Ways

Gremio Coed has returned to its winning ways. After two losses, Gremio Coed responded with a 7-2 win over Boyles Brawlers. Led by Jake, who scored his first Gremio hat-trick, the tricolor also had goals by Josh, Mauricio, Kevin and Arsene, and John was solid in net, making important saves early in the game.

Gremio Winning Streak Snapped

It could have been a win, it should have been a tie, but it ended up as one of the most frustrating losses of the year. Gremio 5-game winning streak came to an end on a 4-3 defeat in the hands of Velez Sarsfield. The seesaw battle started when Mauricio put Gremio up 1-0. Velez responded tying the game shortly after. Gremio went ahead 2-1 when birthday boy Jon Elison finished off a great play by Pete. Velez tied again, 2-2.
Gremio went up 3-2 on what appeared to be the game-winning goal by Paul but Velez scored on a lucky bounce to tie the games once more. 3-3.
When the time was up, the ref let the game continue only to see Velez scored one more goal and winning the game 4-3. A great effort by Gremio, but an undeserved brutal loss.

Gremio Hammers Mofia

It wasn’t even close. Gremio had no mercy for Mofia, defeating the depleted squad by the final score of 7-0. The baseball-type of score started when Kevin scored for the tricolor, and Gremio never look back.
Led by player/director of scouting and player development Kevin, who had a career day with 2 goals and 2 assists, Gremio also had goals from Mauricio (2) and Paul (2), and Garrett.
Gremio continues its perfect run, improving to 5-0-0 this season and staying alone on top of the tables with 15 points. Up next, Gremio will take on Velez Sarsfield this Tuesday at 10pm

Gremio Coed Drops Close Game

Gremio Coed came up short of another comeback. After trailing 2-0, the tricolor got back in the game on a nice goal by returning player Ashley Longo, off a feed from Mauricio. But time ran out and Gremio dropped its second consecutive decision by one goal.
Gremio will look to get back to its winning ways this Wednesday when they face Boyles Brawlers at 8:48pm.

Gremio Wins, Moves to 1st Place in Standings

Gremio only needed 3 games to take solo possession of first place. The tricolor beat  FC Morocco and now leads the standings with 9 points.
Garrett got Gremio ahead with an early goal and Mauricio added 3 more goals before Brendan finished off the score at 5-1. Gremio could have had a shutout if it wasn't for Mauricio's terrible turnover in front of the net, leading to FC Morocco lone goal.
Gremio is back in action this Tuesday at 6pm vs. Mofia. Well done tricolor.

Comeback Falls Short

A poor short handed start cost Gremio Coed its first loss of the season, dropping a 3-1 decision to El Zanjon. Starting a player down, the tricolor allowed 3 goals and found itself in a big hole early in the match. Gremio never gave up and kept battling, eventually scoring on a perfect PK taken by Josh, but time ran out and Gremio is now 2-1-0 for the spring season.
